CENTRAL MECKLENBURG COUNTIES THROUGH 115 PM EDT...

At 1244 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Uptown Charlotte, or near Freedom Park, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Freedom Park, Reedy Creek Park, The Plaza, Central Charlotte, Uptown
Charlotte, Mint Hill, Harrisburg, Southpark Mall, East Charlotte, and
Hidden Valley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Conditions are favorable for development of a very brief, weak
tornado. Be prepared to take immediate action if a tornado is sighted
or a Tornado Warning is issued.
