...GROWING SEASON BEGINS FOR THE SC AND GA FOOTHILLS AND PIEDMONT
AND THE SOUTHERN NC PIEDMONT AND FOOTHILLS...

Going forward, Freeze Warnings and Frost Advisories will be issued
for these areas until the growing season ends this fall. A Freeze
Warning will be issued whenever widespread temperatures are expected
to fall below freezing, and a Frost Advisory will be issued when
expected conditions are favorable for the formation of frost.

The growing season is expected to begin for the SC and GA mountains,
the southern and central NC mountains, and the Interstate 40 Corridor
of NC on April 11th. For the northern NC mountains and adjacent
foothills, the growing season is expected to begin April 21st.
