North Carolina, western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina.

   Heat Advisory.

Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected to
develop across the area this afternoon and evening. An isolated
severe storm or two cannot be ruled out, with the main threat being
damaging wind gusts. Some storms may also produce small hail and
locally heavy rainfall.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Heat index values between 100 and 109 degrees are possible again
Wednesday afternoon across the Piedmont and foothills of the western
Carolinas and northeast Georgia.
