North Carolina, western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms through this evening. An
isolated severe storm or two cannot be ruled out, with the main
threat being damaging wind gusts. Some storms may also produce small
hail and locally heavy rainfall.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Heat index values between 100 and 105 degrees are possible again
Wednesday afternoon in most areas east of the mountains.
