...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM EDT THIS
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of piedmont North Carolina, including the
  following county, Catawba.

* WHEN...Until 530 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 415 PM EDT, After a rapidly falling 2 to 2.5 inch rainfall
    over the Northwest side of the city of Hickory, Frye Creek
    had risen out of it`s banks.  It is likely that a smattering
    of roadway flooding was in progress from downtown Hickory
    west to the airport.  Please remain wary of elevated stream
    and creek levels in this location and motorists are reminded
    to never cross a flooded road if encountered.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Hickory, Newton, St. Stephens, Conover, Longview, Mountain
    View, Hickory Regional Airport and Lake Hickory.
