The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Nearshore and Open Waters from St Joseph to Whitehall MI...

* Until 530 PM EDT.

* At 401 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms capable of producing
  waterspouts were located along a line extending from 11 nm east of
  Winthrop Harbor to near Burns Harbor, moving northeast at 50 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, and small
           hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  South Haven Light, St. Joseph Light, White Lake Pier Heads, Mona
  Lake Channel, The White Lake Pierheads, Holland Light, Muskegon
  Light, and St. Joseph.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.
