.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 341 PM EDT Sat May 24 2025

- Frost Tonight

Light and variable winds along with mostly clear skies will set the
stage for temperatures to fall tonight in the mid 30s to low 40s.
The coldest of these temperatures will be mainly along and north of
US-10. With the light winds in place there is a higher concern for
frost, therefore a Frost Advisory has been issued for late
tonight into early Sunday morning. Confidence is lower in
scattered to widespread frost just south of the Advisory, but
patchy frost remains possible in typical cold spots.

- Mainly Dry through Memorial Day

Dry conditions are expected through Memorial Day and even into
Tuesday. There is a slight chance for some sprinkles if cloud
depths deepen enough Sunday afternoon, otherwise expect a similar
day to today with temperatures a few degrees warmer. This slight
warming trend will continue into Monday with highs in the upper
60s to low 70s for most of the area (cooler temperatures, 50s to
60s, by the lake).

- Mid Week Rain Chances

Upper level flow brings a region of divergence and low level
moisture increases Tuesday into Wednesday with rain likely moving
in late Tuesday night and continuing off and on into Thursday
night. The upper level low and surface low will be slow to move
through the area but models are in agreement that it shifts east
by Friday. Some lingering positive vorticty advection is possible
in the northerly flow behind the low, therefore kept the slight
PoPs of 20-30 percent from the NBM on Friday. Rainfall amounts of
a tenth to a half an inch are possible.

.MARINE...
Issued at 341 PM EDT Sat May 24 2025

Northwesterly winds are expected over the next few days with gusts
around 15 knots each afternoon. Winds become more easterly
Tuesday with the approaching low. Waves are expected to remain
below 3 feet. Lake temperatures are currently in the 40s along the
lake shore, so while it might be mild on land, it`ll be colder on
