...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHERN WOOD COUNTY THROUGH 100
AM CDT...

At 1231 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
near Marshfield, or 21 miles northwest of Wisconsin Rapids, moving
east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northern Wood
County, including the following locations... Bakerville, Milladore,
Sherry, Hewitt, Blenker, and Auburndale.

At 1225 AM, a wind gust to 39 mph was recorded at the Marshfield
Municipal Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
this storm passes.
