...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...

Nearshore waters from Washington Island to Two Rivers...
Open waters of Lake Michigan from Rock Island Passage to Two
Rivers...

At 644 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. These
thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Rock
Island to 7 nm east of Jacksonport to 7 nm east of Algoma, moving
southeast at 25 knots.

Strong thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.
