...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN WICHITA COUNTY
THROUGH 1145 PM CDT...

At 1126 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 5 miles west of Modoc, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern
Wichita County, including the following locations... Marienthal.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
west central Kansas.
