Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

The evening and early overnight hours saw showers and storms move
through a majority of the Tri-State area. Temperatures as of one
in the morning ranged from 62 in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado to 77 in
Hill City, Kansas. Winds were generally from the southeast at
10-20 mph. Some sites in Northwest Kansas had winds sustain around
30 mph with gusts between 50 and 70 mph.

OUTLOOK... Another warm and breezy days is forecast with highs
around 90 and winds from the south at 15 to 25 mph with gusts up
to 40 mph. Scattered showers and storms will be possible for most
of the area with wind gusts generally between 30 and 50 mph, but
as high as 60 mph. Tonight, partly cloudy skies are forecast with
lows generally in the 60`s. Tomorrow, another day with highs
around 90 is forecast. Winds are forecast to be stronger from the
south at 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 50 mph. A system then moves
through late in the day that brings a chance for storms across the
area. A few storms may be severe with wind gusts to 65 mph.
