Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

Over the past 24 hours, the Tri State region saw below normal
temperatures as daytime highs ranged in the lower and mid 20s,
while lows dropped into the lower and mid teens. There was some
light snow and flurries that fell during this time, along with
freezing fog in spots that dropped visibility a mile or less,
mainly west of Highway 25.

OUTLOOK... Looking for a cold start to the morning with freezing
fog around western portions of the region. Near critical to
critical fire weather conditions are possible this afternoon west
of Highway 27 and along/south of Interstate 70. There will be low
chances for light snow in the northwest this weekend, then area-
wide for next Monday and Tuesday.

High temperatures today will range from the 40s east to the mid
60s to lower 70s west. A mix of 40s and 50s for Thursday and
Friday, will trend to a mix of 30s and 40s by Sunday and mainly
30s thereafter. Lows mainly in the 20s through Friday night,
teens this weekend, and thereafter, single numbers to lower teens
above zero.
