Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

The Tri-State area was under a cloudy sky early this morning. Snow
was moving into the area, generally west of Highway 27 and along
and south of Interstate 70. Burlington, Colorado was reporting
heavy snow with visibility of 1/4 mile. 4 AM MST (5 AM CST)
temperatures range from 8 degrees below zero in Danbury, Nebraska
to 12 degrees above zero in Yuma and north of Flagler. The lowest
wind chill reading was 20 degrees below zero in Hill City, Kansas.


OUTLOOK... Snow is expected along the Interstate 70 area and
points south this morning with accumulations likely. Clouds
dissipate this afternoon with high temperatures in the middle 20s
to middle 30s. A clear sky is expected tonight with low
temperatures in the single digits to middle teens above zero.
Warmer temperatures are forecast on Saturday with highs in the
middle 40s to middle 50s and lower 50s to lower 60s Sunday. $$
