Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

The Central High Plains region observed departing showers across the
east with clear skies following during the night. At 1am MT (2am CT)
temperatures ranged from 26 degrees in Burlington, Colorado to 36
degrees in Hill City, Kansas.

OUTLOOK... Clear skies are forecast for today as the start of a
warming trend into the weekend begins. High temperatures are
forecast in the mid 50s to low 60s across the area with the warmest
across eastern Colorado as winds become southerly around 10 to 15
mph; winds across the east remain northerly around 5-10 mph.
Partly to mostly cloudy skies are then forecast on Saturday as
high temperature reach the 60s with the warmest across the north
where winds are forecast to be breezier gusting around 30 mph
through the afternoon. A cold front is forecast to move through
during the day Sunday with high temperatures occurring during the
late morning to early afternoon hours in the upper 50s to low 60s.
