...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY...

In 1989, the high temperature in Goodland only reached 8 degrees
below zero. This is the coldest high temperature ever recorded at
that location, and was the second day in a row the temperature
failed to reach zero degrees. This was part of a four day cold snap
that helped the month to be the fourth coldest February ever in
Goodland.
