...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY...

In 2007, afternoon thunderstorms produced severe hail and locally
heavy rainfall across Gove County in northwest Kansas.  Hail between
the size of quarters and half dollars was reported in Grinnell.
Despite the heavy rainfall, no flooding was reported.
