In Nebraska, Red Willow County. * WHEN...From 11 AM this morning to 9 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...High winds may move loose debris, damage property and cause power outages. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Plumes of blowing dust will create pockets of low visibility. Visibilities will likely change rapidly over short distances, making travel hazardous in these areas. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Fasten loose objects or shelter objects in a safe location prior to the onset of winds. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution if you must drive. Blowing dust can significantly lower air quality and it is encouraged that you take preventative measures such as staying indoors or wearing protective breathing masks if outside. High dust concentrations can cause respiratory problems, decrease lung activity, aggravate asthma, and lead to potential heart-related problems, especially with children, elderly or those with pre-existing respiratory conditions. && $$ COZ090>092-KSZ001-002-013-014-027-028-041-042-NEZ079-080-142100- /O.CON.KGLD.HW.W.0003.250314T1600Z-250315T0200Z/ Yuma-Kit Carson-Cheyenne-Cheyenne-Rawlins-Sherman-Thomas-Wallace- Logan-Greeley-Wichita-Dundy-Hitchcock- Including the cities of Oakley, Colby, Cheyenne Wells, Stratton Ne, Sharon Springs, Benkelman, Bird City, Arapahoe, Tribune, Burlington, Culbertson, Yuma, Leoti, Goodland, Palisade, Wray, Atwood, Trenton, and St. Francis 1228 AM MDT Fri Mar 14 2025 /128 AM CDT Fri Mar 14 2025/ ...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM MDT /11 AM CDT/ THIS MORNING TO 8 PM MDT /9 PM CDT/ THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Northwest winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph expected. * WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast Colorado, northwest and west central Kansas, and southwest Nebraska. * WHEN...From 10 AM MDT /11 AM CDT/ this morning to 8 PM MDT /9 PM CDT/ this evening. * IMPACTS...High winds may move loose debris, damage property and cause power outages.
