This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska...
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

Severe storms are forecast for this afternoon and evening across the
entire Tri-State area. Thunderstorms are expected to develop as early
as noon, but around 3 PM MT in the vicinity of the Colorado and
Kansas border and move into northwest Kansas and southwest Nebraska
through 6 PM MT, exiting the area to the north by 11 PM MT. A few
supercells will be possible, especially between 3 PM and 8 PM,
capable of producing hail golf ball size or larger, damaging wind
gusts of 60 mph or higher, blowing dust, and a tornado or two.
Impacts include but are not limited to wind driven hail which can
damage windows and roofs and quickly developing tornadoes which will
shorten the time you have to seek shelter.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...

Severe storms are also possible Tuesday afternoon and evening.
Scattered storms are expected by mid afternoon and continuing
through early evening. The main hazard on Tuesday will be damaging
wind gusts of up to 75 mph. Winds of this magnitude may produce
blowing dust and dust storms which can lower visibility and cause
hazardous driving conditions.

Critical fire weather conditions are possible Tuesday afternoon and
early evening with a Fire Weather Watch in effect for northeast
Colorado and adjacent counties of northwest Kansas. Low humidity,
gusty southwest winds and dry fuels will combine to produce dangerous
and unpredictable fire weather behavior. Any fires that develop may
rapidly grow and spread out of control.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters are encouraged to report significant weather conditions.
