This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska...
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

South winds at 30 to 40 mph will gust up to 55 mph this afternoon.
Wind of this magnitude will create hazardous travel conditions,
especially for high profile vehicles on west to east routes, such as
Interstate 70, where cross winds will be strongest. Localized
reductions in visibility associated with blowing dust may exacerbate
travel difficulties. Strong winds could also result in rapid and
uncontrolled fire growth, should any fires develop. Outdoor burning
is not advised today.

Thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of an approaching cold
front in northeast Colorado late this afternoon and evening. A few
severe storms capable of producing wind gusts in excess of 65 mph are
possible, mainly between 4 PM and 9 PM MDT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Active weather is expected today. Spotters are encouraged to report
any significant weather conditions.
