.DISCUSSION...

Under the influence of upper level high pressure, precipitation
chances will remain less than 5% through Saturday night, allowing
soils to slowly dry out. Winds will generally blow from the south
until sometime between midnight and 3am tonight/Saturday morning,
when a cold front will drop southward out of Nebraska and bring a
wind shift. Winds will blow from the north-northeast and gust to
around 25 mph behind that front, and then gradually ease and veer
to easterly during the day Saturday. Southerly flow will resume on
Sunday in advance of a shortwave disturbance which will bring
some low (10-20%) chances for showers and storms by Monday. Winds
both Sunday and Monday are slated to gust 30-40 mph during the
afternoons. Oakley is currently forecast to be east of the dryline
each afternoon, but should it shift further east than currently
forecast conditions could be dry with afternoon RH values dropping
to 20-25%.
