.DISCUSSION...
Hot, dry weather continues today through Tuesday.
Afternoon relative humidity values will be lowest today and Monday
afternoons, falling close to 15% for the south half of the Tri-State
Area today and over the west half Monday. Wind gusts should remain
20 MPH or less both afternoons. However wind gusts from any
thunderstorms will be stronger and more erratic. The worst case wind
gusts will be up to 70 MPH late this afternoon and this evening. The
more likely wind gust speeds will be up to 50 MPH. Worst case wind
gusts should be lower for Monday. As has been already stated, dry
lightning may occur with any thunderstorms that form either day.
There is a potential for large hail up to half dollar size north of
Highway 36 this evening, along with wind gusts up to 70 MPH.
