.DISCUSSION...
The additional moisture from the snow last night brings our fire
weather threat to basically 0 today, despite the gusts from the
northwest up to 35 MPH.
Next workweek, RH values on a daily basis look to drop into the
teens, except Wednesday. Monday and Tuesday, the winds look weak
enough that critical conditions are unlikely. Wednesday, even though
minimum RH values are forecast to be in the 20s, we are expecting a
strong cold front to move through, producing a rapid shift in winds
and gusts somewhere in the 30-50 MPH range. Gusts up around 25-30 MPH
looks to return Thursday and Friday, primarily near the CO/NE/KS
border. Wednesday through Friday, critical fire weather conditions
are possible.
