Drought Information Statement
National Weather Service Goodland KS
230 PM MDT Thu Oct 3 2024 /330 PM CDT Thu Oct 3 2024/

Drought continues and worsens across most of the area after a dry
and warm to hot September. The majority of the area was well below
normal in precipitation for the month with the exception being
across the far east after a decent mid September rain. The above
normal temperatures and lack of precipitation is forecast to
continue for the foreseeable future bringing continuing concerns
for further drought degradations.
