For eastern Utah and western Colorado, here is the latest weather
synopsis
Valley rain and mountain snow will continue today, favoring the central and
especially southern mountains. A general additional 4-8 inches of snow is
expected through tomorrow night, with higher amounts over the southern San
Juans. Elsewhere, afternoon showers and even a few thunderstorms are
expected. Travel across mountain passes will be a bit difficult, especially
during the nighttime hours, where snow can accumulate most efficiently on
the road surface. Temperatures will be much cooler today, with highs in the
50s for the desert valleys and in the 30s for the mountain towns. There is
a potential for a freeze tonight across lower valley locations, with Freeze
Watches and Warnings in effect.
