...PUBLIC INFORMATION STATEMENT...

The National Weather Service Grand Junction Weather Forecast
Office will be undergoing an upgrade of computer systems this week
which will result in several products and services being
unavailable. The outage will run from 6 AM MDT Tuesday, May 25th
through Thursday, May 27th. The following services will be
unavailable:

NOAA Weather Radio Transmitters:

* Vernal (WXM23)
* Steamboat Springs (KWN56)
* Eagle (WZ2518)
* Glenwood Springs (WWG43)
* Grand Junction (WXM55)
* Moab (WNG556)
* Monticello (WNG687)
* Montrose (KXI90)
* Durango (KWN54)
* Routine climate text products such as the Daily Climate Report
  (CLI), Preliminary Monthly Climate (CF6), and Routine
  Temperature and Precipitation Table (RTP). The CLI and CF6
  products will be be backfilled when systems return to service on
  Thursday, May 27th.

Additionally, coded messages from radiosonde releases may be
delayed.

The forecast office will continue regular operations during this
time with all other normally scheduled products and services
continuing uninterrupted.

We apologize for any inconvenience this temporary suspension of
these products and services may cause. The observation data (such
as METARs) used to create the impacted climate text products will
still be available for users throughout this timeframe.

We encourage users in the area to have multiple ways to receive
warnings and to ensure they have Wireless Emergency Alerts turned
on on their phones.
