Southerly to southwesterly winds are expected to gust 40-50 mph across the area today, with Wind Advisories in effect for most valley locations. Where fuels are critical, these winds combined with dry air will lead to localized critical fire weather conditions. Temperatures remain 10-15 degrees above normal. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. A cold front will bring mountain rain and snow showers as well as much cooler temperatures for Wednesday and Thursday. Snow accumulations will be less than 6 inches and generally confined to elevations above 10K feet. Temperatures will warm for Friday and Saturday ahead of the next system. Another round of gusty winds could be possible on Sunday, followed by a return to cooler and unsettled conditions to kick off next week. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
