Widespread showers and thunderstorms, with moderate to occasionally heavy rain, is expected across the area today and overnight. Flash Flood Watches are in effect to account for this heavy rain. Flash flooding will be possible near recent burn scars, slot canyons, urban areas and areas prone to flooding. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. Moderate to heavy rain continues Saturday as the biggest push of moisture occurs Saturday morning. The heaviest rain is expected across the Four Corners region up into the San Juans. Flash flooding will remain a concern as the Flash Flood Watch remains in effect. Cool and wet conditions setup Sunday and continue through the middle of next week. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not expected today or tonight, however spotters are encouraged to relay rainfall amounts or any observed flooding to the National Weather Service in Grand Junction. $$
