This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Colorado, southwest
Colorado, west central Colorado, east central Utah, northeast Utah
and southeast Utah.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Isolated to scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms will
develop over the higher terrain. Some storms may produce localized
heavy rain with flash flooding possible in flood prone areas, such as
fire scars and slot canyons. Wildfire smoke remains visible across
much of the CWA.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Isolated to scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms will
develop over the higher terrain Sunday through the coming week.
Drier air moves into the region bringing a return of near critical
fire weather conditions and increased probability for dry lightning.
Wildfire smoke will remain visible for much of eastern Utah and
western Colorado.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected today or tonight, however
spotters are encouraged to report excessive wind or any observed
wind related damage to the National Weather Service in Grand
Junction
