This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Colorado, southwest
Colorado, west central Colorado, east central Utah, northeast Utah
and southeast Utah.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Scattered to widespread storms are possible this afternoon, beginning
over the terrain and spreading over adjacent valleys. Storms will be
capable of producing gusty outflow winds up to 40 mph and frequent
lightning. Light to moderate rainfall will be possible in some storms
over the San Juans. Near record high temperatures expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Scattered storms are expected Saturday, mainly south of I-70, with
the main threats being gusty winds, lightning, and brief heavy rain.
Near record temperatures linger to this point. From Sunday onward,
chances of widespread heavy rain, along with potential flash flooding
or debris flows, will be on the increase. Temperatures will cool
substantially for early next week.
