Spot Forecast for Babylon Fire...RIST
National Weather Service Grand Junction CO

Forecast is based on forecast start time of 1500 MDT on July 27.
If conditions become unrepresentative, contact the National Weather
Service.
.DISCUSSION...
Models are indicating the showers and storms over the fire
currently will wind down very shortly with no more convection
expected for the rest of the day. Even so, in this type of
environment a quick storm or shower can still pop up so the chance
(20%) still exists. Tomorrow, similar conditions are in place
though models are putting the best chances for convection north of
the fire. Despite that, still have a 30% chance for a shower or
storm to develop over or near the fire. Westerly winds today will
be more northwesterly tomorrow, with a few gusts reaching around
20 mph from time to time.
