.DISCUSSION...A large unsettled trough will remain parked over the
Intermountain West through the end of the week. A system rotating
through this trough will bring widespread snow showers to the
area tomorrow with a small chance of an afternoon thunderstorm.
The instability under this trough will lead to clearing index
values at 750 or above the next few afternoons...with values
of 1050 in showers. Southerly winds on Thursday shift to the
North on Friday as the trough axis shifts eastward.

.THURSDAY...

Sky/weather.........Mostly cloudy (75-85 percent). Snow showers
                    likely through the day. Slight chance of
                    thunderstorms after 1200.
CWR.................50 percent.
Max temperature.....29-34.
Min humidity........54-59 percent.
Wind (20 ft)........South winds 5 to 10 mph. Gusty and erratic winds
                    expected near thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Mixing height.......5000 ft AGL after 1200.
Transport winds.....South 13 mph.
Clearing Index......750 after 1200 or 1050 in snow showers.
Chance of thunder...15 percent.

.THURSDAY NIGHT...

Sky/weather.........Mostly cloudy (55-65 percent) then becoming
                    partly cloudy (40-50 percent). Chance of snow
                    showers and slight chance of thunderstorms in
                    the evening.
CWR.................20 percent.

Max humidity........70-75 percent.
Wind (20 ft)........South winds 10 mph shifting to the southeast
                    overnight. Gusty and erratic winds expected
                    near thunderstorms in the evening.
