Spot Forecast for North Vallecito Flooding...La Plata County Office of Emergency Management

.DISCUSSION...Isolated showers will continue to pop up north of
Vallecito early this evening with showers potentially increasing
overnight into Wednesday. Tonight through Wednesday afternoon
appears to be the period of greatest moisture as upwards of an
inch of rainfall is possible in the basins and higher terrain
north of Vallecito with 0.5 to 0.75 inches of rain at the spot
location. In addition, strong to severe storms are possible which
could result in locally higher rainfall amounts, strong gusty
winds and hail possible. Drier air moves in by Thursday as the
storm system to the west and cold front moves east of the region.

.TONIGHT...

Sky/weather.........Cloudy (85-95 percent). Chance of showers and
                    thunderstorms in the evening, then rain showers
                    likely and slight chance of thunderstorms
                    overnight.
Min temperature.....43-48.
Max humidity........89-94 percent.
Surface winds.......South winds 8 to 12 mph. Gusty and erratic wind
                    gusts expected near showers and thunderstorms.

.WEDNESDAY...

Sky/weather.........Mostly cloudy (80-90 percent). Rain showers and
                    chance of thunderstorms.
Max temperature.....52-57.
Min humidity........62-67 percent.
Surface winds.......South-southwest winds around 10 to 15 mph with
                    gusts to 25 mph in the afternoon. Gusty and
                    erratic wind gusts expected near showers and
                    thunderstorms.


.WEDNESDAY NIGHT...

Sky/weather.........Mostly cloudy (65-75 percent). Slight chance of
                    thunderstorms in the evening. Chance of rain
                    showers through the night.
Min temperature.....34-39.
Max humidity........71-76 percent.
Surface winds.......Southwest winds 8 to 12 mph. Gusty and erratic
                    wind gusts expected near showers and
                    thunderstorms.
