.DISCUSSION...Hot and dry conditions will continue through Friday,
with highs 10-15 degrees above normal. Winds remain light, keeping
chances for critical fire weather conditions very low. However,
moisture starts to increase tomorrow, increasing coverage of showers
and thunderstorms over the terrain. It will take several days for the
surface air to moisten enough for wetting rain, meaning concerns for
dry lightning through the end of the week. Better chances of wetting
rain start Saturday and linger into early next week.
