NWS Hastings would like to thank the Emergency Managers from Howard and Fillmore counties for their assistance in gathering information. .Shickley Tornado... Rating: EF0 Estimated Peak Wind: 70 mph Path Length /statute/: 3.10 miles Path Width /maximum/: 30 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 05/18/2025 Start Time: 10:09 PM CDT Start Location: 3 SE Shickley / Fillmore County / NE Start Lat/Lon: 40.3929 / -97.6762 End Date: 05/18/2025 End Time: 10:13 PM CDT End Location: 3 ENE Shickley / Fillmore County / NE End Lat/Lon: 40.4374 / -97.6725 Survey Summary: This short path tornado rapidly developed near the Salem Mennonite Church southeast of Shickley as seen by minor damage to the church grounds and to nearby center pivot systems. The tornado traveled north along or just west of Road 9 causing minor tree damage before lifting a mile or so north of Highway 74. The peak wind speed and tornado rating were based on the combination of the tree and center pivot damage. .Midway Corner Tornado... A brief video of the tornado was taken. No damage has been documented. The tornado rating is EFU (unknown).
