This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Thursday afternoon, the potential for near-critical to critical
fire weather conditions return to the outlook area, mainly for
areas along and west of Highway 281.

Friday and Saturday...a strong upper level low pressure system
crossing the Central Plains will bring increased potential for
rain, snow, and strong winds. Rain switches over to snow Friday
night into Saturday, with at least some light snow accumulation
possible for areas mainly north of Interstate 80. Gusty south
winds on Friday switch to the northwest Friday night into
Saturday, when gusts of 40 to 50 MPH will be possible. Even light
snow accumulations combined with these strong northwest winds
could result in hazardous conditions. There continues to be plenty
of uncertainties in the exact details of this system, so be sure
to stay up to date with the latest forecasts.
