This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Hot and humid conditions will continue this afternoon. Heat index
values are expected to climb above 100 degrees, with heat index
values potentially reaching 105 degrees or slightly higher across
areas east of highway 281.

Thunderstorm chances return to the local area this evening, with
some severe storms possible between the hours of 9PM and 3AM.
Hail to the size of quarters and 60 mph wind gusts will be
possible with the strongest storms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Heat index values will reach 100 degrees in spots again Tuesday
afternoon. There will also be low-end chances for spotty storms
Tuesday into Tuesday night.

Additional intermittent, and potentially more widespread,
thunderstorm chances are expected late week and through the
upcoming weekend.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotters are encouraged to report any hail, wind gusts of 50 MPH
or higher, or localized flooding.
