This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Thursday afternoon, near-critical to critical fire weather
conditions will be possible across the outlook area. A Fire
Weather Watch is in effect for areas roughly along and west of a
line from Genoa to Grand Island to Red Cloud, NE to Smith Center
and Osborne, KS.

Friday afternoon, thunderstorms will be possible across portions
of the outlook area mainly along and east of a line from
Lexington, NE to Beloit, KS. Severe weather is not anticipated at
this time.

Friday evening and overnight, strong northwest winds will spread
from west to east across the entire outlook area, continuing into
the day on Saturday. Gusts of 45 to 55 MPH will be possible,
mainly Friday evening through Saturday morning.

In addition to the wind Friday evening through Saturday, rain will
gradually transition over to snow from west to east, mainly
affecting south central Nebraska. Though any snow accumulations
are forecast to be on the lower side, even light snow with the
expected strong northwest winds could result in hazardous
conditions.
