This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Areas of thunderstorms will continue over mainly south central
Nebraska through around dawn, then dissipate and shift northeast.
The main threat with this activity will be heavy downpours. As a
result, portions of our Nebraska forecast area remains under a
under a Flood Watch through 7 AM.

Widespread flooding is already occurring in areas that received 4
to 7 inches of rain over the past 24 hours, generally along the
Platte River valley from Wood River to Columbus. This includes the
city of Grand Island. Areal and river flooding will continue in
these areas through the remainder of the day, but fortunately,
little to no additional rainfall is expected beyond mid morning.
Please reference the various flood products that are in effect for
greater details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Areal and river flooding impacts are expected to continue into at
least Friday for areas within the Platte River valley corridor
downstream of Wood River. Please reference the various Flood
Warnings that are in effect for the latest details.

Additional thunderstorm chances return to the forecast area
Saturday night into early next week. At this point in time, it is
too early to determine the potential for severe weather.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotters are encouraged to report any rainfall amounts greater 3
inches and impacts from flooding.
