This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible during the day
today, though coverage will be sparse at most. No severe weather
is expected.

Heat index values will peak around 100 degrees along and east of
Highway 281 late this afternoon and early evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Heat index values may reach 100 degrees east of highway 281 late
Wednesday afternoon and early evening.

A cold front will sag south across the area bringing another
chance for showers and thunderstorms, mostly likely Wednesday
night and again Thursday night. A few strong to severe
thunderstorms are possible, mainly Wednesday night. Isolated areas
of heavy rain are possible which could cause minor flooding.

The heat comes back over the weekend and into Monday when heat
index values could exceed 100 degrees again.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Flood Warnings caused by heavy rain yesterday and overnight are
in effect today for several areas in north central Kansas. Flood
prone areas will experience flooding issues due to the excessive
runoff.

Additional rain today will be limited to a some scattered showers
and isolated thunderstorms, favoring the morning hours. Localized
heavy rain may occur but no severe weather is expected.

Heat index values could approach 100 degrees for short time late
this afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Heat index values will around 100 degrees Wednesday afternoon and
early evening.

A cold front will sag south across the area bringing another
chance for showers and thunderstorms, mostly likely Wednesday
night and again Thursday night. Pockets of heavy rain may fall
which could trigger localized flooding issues again.

The heat comes back over the weekend and into Monday when heat
index values could exceed 100 degrees again.
