This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

A cluster of thunderstorms will develop in western Nebraska this
afternoon, moving into portions of south central Nebraska and
north central Kansas mainly after 5 pm. There is a slight risk of
severe weather covering all of our Nebraska counties and a few
northwestern parts of our Kansas counties. Hail to the size of
golf balls and wind gusts up to 70 mph will be the primary
hazards. Thunderstorms will move east in time and should weaken
some closer to midnight. An isolated tornado can not be ruled
out.

Heat index values will approach 100 to 105 degrees this afternoon
for areas along and south the Kansas border.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Hot temperatures return each day this week with late afternoon
and early evening heat index values around 100 to 105 degrees in a
few Kansas and southeastern Nebraska areas each day. The warmest
days will be Monday, Tuesday and next Saturday where area wide
heat index values may exceed 100 degrees up to just over 105
degrees in a few concentrated areas.

A small chance for thunderstorms, return to portions of the area
each day, mostly during the evening and overnight hours. A few
storms on Sunday as well as in far northeastern Nebraska areas on
Monday could become severe. Hail up to quarter size and winds up
to 60 MPH will be the primary threats, though impacts are not
expected to become widespread.
