This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

This afternoon, near-critical to localized critical fire weather
conditions are expected for counties along and south of Interstate
80. This will be due to the combination of gusty westerly winds
and relative humidity values in the 20-25 percent range. Areas
most likely to experience critical fire weather conditions will be
in north central Kansas and areas along the Kansas/Nebraska
border.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

On Friday afternoon, another round of near-critical fire weather
conditions is expected, again mainly for counties along and south
of Interstate 80.

Between Saturday evening and Tuesday, periodic chances for showers
and thunderstorms return to the area. Plenty of uncertainty over
locations, timing and precipitation amounts remain. Strong to
severe storms may be possible on Sunday and Monday. Continue to
monitor the forecast for updates as we get closer to the weekend.
