Unseasonably warm temperatures and strong southerly winds gusting 35 to 45 MPH will keep elevated fire weather concerns across the entire outlook area through early evening. Near critical conditions will prevail for a few hours this afternoon across some areas along and west of Highway 183, where slightly lower relative humidity values down to around 20 percent are expected. There is a slight chance for an isolated thunderstorm west and northwest of the Tri-Cities overnight. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. On Sunday, scattered thunderstorms are forecast to develop along a southeastward moving cold front. A few of these may become strong to marginally severe, mainly for areas along and especially southeast of a line from Phillipsburg, Kansas to York, Nebraska between 5PM and 11PM. Quarter size hail and isolated 50 to 60 MPH wind gusts will be the primary threats. Off and on thunderstorm chances persist Monday, Monday night, and into Tuesday morning, mainly for areas along and south of Interstate 80.
