.DISCUSSION...
- TODAY:
Today will start out with "random" areas of patchy drizzle and/or
light fog across much of the district, while a band of steadier rain
showers traverses mainly northern counties (north of I-80). Getting
later into the morning and this afternoon, the majority of our area
will be dry (as at least partial sunshine works into especially
southern/western counties), but very spotty showers and possibly a
few weak thunderstorms will be possible almost anywhere. Winds today
will be very light this morning, but become a bit steadier especially
mid-late afternoon (generally 5-10 MPH out of the north-northeast).
In the seasonably-slightly-cool airmass with high temperatures only
reaching the 60s/70s (coolest north/warmest south-southwest) minimum
afternoon relative humidity/RH) will not drop too far...ranging from
as low was 50-60 percent in mainly the southwestern 1/3 of the
district...to as high as 70-80+% especially in the northeastern 1/3.
- TUESDAY:
Much like today, Tuesday could start off with patchy drizzle and/or
spotty light showers, with potential for spotty shower activity
possibly lingering through the day. That being said, MOST areas will
be dry MOST of the time despite considerable cloud cover. With high
temperatures expected to be slightly cooler than today, minimum
afternoon RH will hold up higher...likely well into the 75-85% range
in most Nebraska zones, and only as low as 60-70% in KS counties.
Like today, breezes will start the day very light, but will become a
bit steadier out of the east-southeast during the afternoon (5-15
MPH...strongest in western counties).
