...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM CDT SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Lingering minor flooding caused by excessive rainfall back
  on Wednesday into Thursday continues.

* WHERE...Portions of central and east central Nebraska, including
  the following counties, in central Nebraska, Merrick and Nance. In
  east central Nebraska, Polk.

* WHEN...Until 400 PM CDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Low-water crossings may still be inundated with water,
  especially near area creeks, and may not be passable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 354 PM CDT, gauges along area creeks within the Warning
    area continued to report near-bankfull to minor flooding
    conditions, although the situation continues to gradually
    lower/improve with time as runoff continues to work
    downstream. As of 345 PM CDT Saturday, the Silver Creek gauge
    near Silver Creek was at 9.3 feet and slowly falling, but
    still slightly above minor flood stage of 9 feet. Meanwhile,
    the nearby Prairie Creek gauge had already fallen below minor
    flood stage of 9 feet, but was still near-bankfull at 8.1
    feet. Finally, the gauge along Clear Creek in far
    northeastern Polk County was starting to level off around 7
    feet, but this was only slightly below minor flood stage of
    7.5 feet.

    Despite the overall-improving conditions, this Warning has
    been extended into Sunday to cover what is hopefully the last
    of lingering minor flooding issues.
  - This includes, but is not limited to, the following streams
    and drainages...
    Clear Creek, Silver Creek, Prairie Creek and Warm Slough.
  - Some locations that could experience flooding include...
    Clarks and Silver Creek, but mainly rural areas outside these
    communities.
