Warning for the following rivers in Nebraska...

  South Loup River At Saint Michael affecting Howard, Hall and
  Buffalo Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown. Motorists should not attempt to drive
around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM THIS AFTERNOON TO EARLY SATURDAY
MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. The river is expected to crest
  below 11 feet later this afternoon through early evening.

* WHERE...South Loup River at Saint Michael.

* WHEN...From this afternoon to early Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 9.5 feet, Water floods agricultural lowlands and
  woodlands adjacent to the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 6.7 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is around 9.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late this afternoon to a crest of 10.6 feet this evening. It
    will then fall below flood stage tomorrow morning.
  - Flood stage is 9.5 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    10.6 feet on 07/26/1972.
