...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by previous excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of north central Kansas, including the following
  counties, Jewell and Smith.

* WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 712 PM CDT, gauge reports indicated continued high water
    levels along the White Rock Creek in Jewell county. This is
    due to heavy rain in thunderstorms Sunday night. Flooding is
    ongoing. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain fell over the area
    Sunday night, but no additional rainfall is expected through
    at least Wednesday Night.
  - This includes the following streams and drainages...
    Korb Creek, Johns Creekr, Dry Creek, Advent Creek, East Fork
    Big Timber Creek, Ash Creek, Antelope Creek, Spring Creek,
    Oak Creek, Troublesome Creek, Ayres Creek, Pawnee Creek, East
    Marsh Creek, Long Branch, Burr Oak Creek, Big Timber Creek,
    Republican River, Porcupine Creek, North Branch White Rock
    Creek, White Rock Creek, Rankin Creek, Lovewell Reservoir
    Area, Lost Creek, Johns Creek, Middle Oak Creek, Hicks Creek,
    Walnut Creek and Crooked Auger Creek.
    Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Burr Oak, Webber and Lovewell State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
