Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 242 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring along Highway 11 near North Loup. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Highway 11 near North Loup is the most likely place to experience minor flooding. This includes the following streams and drainages... Shepherd Creek, Davis Creek, Hays Creek, Clear Creek, Messenger Creek, Cedar River, Elm Creek, Spring Creek, Stewart Creek, Wallace Creek and Mira Creek. Additional rainfall amounts will be light. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Scotia and North Loup. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
