...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Mainly minor flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
  expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Nebraska, including the
  following county, Furnas.

* WHEN...Until midnight CDT tonight.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas,
  along with possibly some rural county roads and along small creeks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 609 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated ongoing heavy rain due
    to thunderstorms. Over the last few hours, most of the
    Advisory area has picked up between 1.5 and 3.5 inches of
    rain, with up to roughly 1 inch of additional rain possible
    over the next few hours before rain mostly ends for the
    night. Minor flooding is likely ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in parts of the Advisory area.
  - This includes the following streams and drainages...
    Beaver Creek, Dry Creek and Sappa Creek.
  - Some locations that could experience flooding include...
    Beaver City, Wilsonville and Hendley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
