.DISCUSSION...

Slow-moving upper-level trough across the region, is
keeping cold surface winds out of the north, slightly northwest
today. Recent model wind data has been unrepresentative of site
conditions. Manual adjustments have been made to compensate for
this discrepancy. Sustained wind speeds today near and around the
burn site will persist at 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 30
mph. Overnight winds tonight will decrease to around 10 mph. On
Friday, as the trough influence moves further east, expect burn
site winds to be around 12 mph. Later Friday night into Sunday
morning, a building ridge of high pressure from the west will
shift winds around from the south but keep them light - around 5
to 8 mph.
