National Weather Service Glasgow MT

.DISCUSSION...

KEY MESSAGES:

1) Scattered thunderstorms this evening could bring an outside
chance for strong winds and/or hail in the Yellowstone valley.

2) A cold front tonight will begin to cool the area off.

3) An upper low moving in Saturday will bring even cooler
conditions with areas of showers.

WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW:
The next batch of thunderstorms will move northeast this evening
across the southeast zones. With marginal shear and instability,
they are not expected to be severe, however one or two could be
strong.

Cooler conditions will move in on the heels of a cold front
tonight then an upper low Saturday. Look for even cooler
conditions Saturday with areas of rain showers.

On Sunday, we begin to dry out and warm up a bit as the upper low
gradually moves out.

Look for weak upper ridging next week but an upper low from
British Columbia begins to move in late in the week.

FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS:

NBM was largely used here for the forecast population.

Pops through tonight were mainly blended with the SREF and
CONShort. TFJ
